Medicine Walk
What is Medicine Walk about ?
In order to get clarity about a topic or to determine your spiritual location, you go out alone into nature and trace this topic there. In the mirror of your environment, guided by your intuition, you receive “medicine”, a gift of impressions and impulses.
The Medicine Walk is an ancient and a modern practice. We have always made medicine walks into nature or pilgrimages, because the space out there gives us the possibility to reconnect. To reconnect with levels within ourselves that are not accessible to us through the mind alone, the deep inner knowledge about nature and being. It is a magical experience. Magical because it is animated by many different encounters - with plants, trees, animals, stones, branches, images.... All the living beings out there invite you to get in touch with them. For example, an encounter with a squirrel. You can ask a question about something specific that is on your mind and see/listen to what happens, what comes up as an answer while observing the squirrel. You can also let yourself be drawn to interesting places. It's a free space out there, follow your intuition.
If you feel a burning question in you - take it with you on your Medicine Walk!
Medicine Walk can be used to foster reconnection, wisdom sharing, intention setting, vision quest and storytelling, and find clarity.
Audience
Is participant experience relevant for Medicine Walk ?

Audience description for Medicine Walk
Anyone who likes to be in nature and anyone who feels somehow ‘lost’ and would like to reconnect.
Requirements
nature as untouched as possible (forest, mountain, lake…)
Run Through
No special preparation needed, besides finding a suitable place (a nice spot in nature). We recommend that you do the Medicine Walk in a group, so that you have several stories to share afterwards.
In a more extended version you can invite the participants beforehand to clarify the question/intention they want to take on the Medicine Walk.
Advise the participants to bring a wristwatch, a bottle of water, a backpack (for warm clothes, if needed) and a seat pad.
Meditation, drumming, singing or something like that to make a transition from the hustle and bustle of everyday life into a more ceremonial, intentional setting.
Online
The Medicine Walk itself needs to be done in nature of course. But the sharing of the stories works very well online. You can arrange to meet, tune in together at a certain time, then go on your Medicine Walk individually, and meet later online to share and mirror each other's stories.
